Microsoft has announced that it will be shutting down the Xbox 360 Store on July 29, 2024, nearly 19 years after the launch of its second-generation Xbox console.
- On that date, Xbox will stop supporting the ability to purchase new games, DLC, and other entertainment content from the Xbox 360 Store on the console and the Xbox 360 Marketplace (marketplace.xbox.com)
- The Microsoft Movies & TV app will no longer function on Xbox 360, which means TV and movie content will no longer be viewable on Xbox 360 after July 29, 2024
- Users can continue purchasing games and DLC from the Xbox 360 Store and at the Xbox 360 Marketplace
- Previously purchased Xbox 360 game content will still be available to download and play, with multiplayer, if supported
- Hundreds of backward-compatible Xbox 360 and Original Xbox games and DLC will still be available for purchase on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox.com after July 29, 2024
- Microsoft Movies & TV content purchased on Xbox 360 can be downloaded and streamed via Windows 10, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S devices, or via Movies Anywhere

Ah well sh1t, cuz there's still stuff I need to grab. I've been waiting years and years for some games to reach decent sale prices, or get ported to PC, but none of that sh1t ever happened.
Mine got E74 error which wasn't covered be RRoD extended warranty, so I had to pay outta pocket to fix. That was around 2010, if I recall correctly. Been working fine since then though. I fire it up every once in a while. There are games I play on X360 that don't work via back-compat on 8th-gen or 9th-gen Xboxes, so I keep the system around and hooked up.
