Ready to kill Gungans again as a sadistic Obi-Wan?
Gematsu has discovered that Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace has been rated in Taiwan for PS5 and PS4, confirming what could very well be the next Star Wars game to be added to PlayStation’s growing catalog of classic PS Plus titles, available as part of the Premium tier ($17.99/mo.) of Sony’s service.
Disney continues to carry the PlayStation Plus Classics lineup on its back—STAR WARS Episode I: The Phantom Menace (PS1) has been rated for PS5 and PS4 in Taiwan.

Here’s the promotional text for LucasArts’ classic PlayStation game, which came out in 1999, the very same year that George Lucas’ prequel came out in theaters and showed people what happens when they get sliced in half with a lightsaber:

According to the official PlayStation Plus site, the PS Plus catalog already offers a decent number of classic Star Wars titles, including Star Wars Racer Revenge, Star Wars Demolition, Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Star Wars Jedi Starfighter, and even Super Star Wars, the side scroller that came out way back in 1992 for SNES.
In other Phantom Menace news, Natalie Portman, who starred as Padmé Amidala in all three Star Wars prequels, revealed this week that King Charles asked her if she was in the original Star Wars movies during the premiere of Episode I:
Asked by host Andy Cohen what it was like meeting the British royal family at “The Phantom Menace” premiere, Portman recalled: “I remember Prince Charles, he was then Prince Charles, asked me if I was in the originals. I was like, ‘No, I’m 18!’ But he was very friendly.”
Portman also said that she is open to returning as Padmé, although “no one has asked.”

Ok except for Gauntlet.. I want an online gauntlet game I can play with my friends where the silly wizard can shoot the food.

Funny you should mention that as I've also been thinking about that game a lot lately. I got the remake from a few years back and while not horrible it still isn't as fun. From the arcades to the the N64 with friends, a lot of good memories there.
Yeah, in regards to this game, thas was the era that drove me over the edge with D&D, SW, and ST games. So much junk that I bought into back then only to regret it. Not too long after I quit buying franchise games altogether. I loved Rogue Squadron, Demolition, Bounty Hunter, and the Battlefront Games and that was pretty much it. Spent hours watching friends play KOTOR and such but never got them but I did think were cool.
Actually I think the phantom menace game sucked even more than the movie. The camera was terrible.
