It only took a day for rumored leaked images and specs for MSI’s unreleased gaming handheld to appear online. MSI teased its new Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally competitor on social media earlier this week and alleged GeekBench scores appear to detail the upcoming portable gaming device. While the scores and specs do appear to be legitimate it should always be noted that faked benchmark scores/specs have surfaced in the past for other technology which is something that should always be taken into consideration when viewing “leaked” scores for unreleased tech. That being said, this information appears to be accurate.
The leaked image seems to be an early advert promoting its CES 2024 debut and according to a guess by VideoCardz, this and the early teaser social media post could’ve simply been timed releases that may not have launched according to their intended timelines since the advert contains much of the same information.
Rumored Leaked overseas MSI CLAW advert:
The rumored leaked images show a design that has become the de facto standard for handhelds with controllers (which appear to have RGB), main buttons, and screen placement. The image does not allow complete viewing of the triggers nor are any ports visible so those configurations remain unknown. Now while the Geekbench scores do not reveal details such as display type, dimensions, audio, battery, etc., they do show something fairly exciting for the new gaming handheld sector, the CLAW could be using an Intel Meteor Lake APU!
GeekBench Information
The scores reveal an Intel Redwood Cove Crestmont processor featuring Xe-LPG Arc Graphics. The Intel Core 7 Ultra 155H processor has 16 cores / 22 threads with a boost clock rate of up to 4.8 GHz and could come with 32 GB of memory right out of the box which is double the amount of RAM of other current portable gaming devices. This processor is listed as having a base Soc TDP of 28W but can go as high as 155W so it’s probable that should these specs turn out to be real MSI will have profiles for running on battery or when plugged into other power.
The ARC Alchemist graphics feature 8 Xe-cores at a clock rate of 2.25 GHz. There were two sets of scores shared online, one presumably while running at a lower clock speed and then the other while operating at its max boosted clock rate. The cache sizes between the two seem to be different but this could be due to its E-core / P-core architecture and both show a base clock of 3.80 GHz. MSI’s CLAW also appears to be running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit.

I think this will happen. Everyone and their dog wants to jump into the mobile gaming sector these days so it only makes sense that MSI would too since they do have plenty of resources for doing so. The real question is the final specs and price.
IDK how can anyone focus on gaming when out and about. I can't even read a book on a train. I start feeling uneasy due to the loss of awareness of my surroundings.
I got robbed well over a decade ago, and one of the things taken was my modded DS Lite. After that I stopped taking handheld consoles out of the house. I never really used handheld consoles away from home after my school days anyways (well that's not true, I played at work back in the 2000s).
I can't read, watch videos, or play video games in any moving ground vehicle, or else I get really sick.
Well the product might, the specs read like fantasy to me anyway.

Well, turns out the specs are real after all but it also looks like there might be different CPU configurations with "up to Intel 155H" which is the one mentioned in the leak. Price isn't bad and now we just need real reviews but at a glance, I tip my hat to MSI and Intel for what looks like an impressive device.
