MSI has unveiled a new 32-inch 4K 240 Hz QD-OLED gaming monitor at CES 2024 called the MPG 321URX, and it includes a technology called “AI Skysight,” which users can enable to “instantly detect” on-screen enemies. Other features include trainable AI models, supported by firmware updates, and an RGB spectrum bar on the bottom of the display that changes based on player health.

Unique features:

  • AI SKYSIGHT
    • Enemy and friendly identification, head-up display
      • Equipped with mini-map Auto-Scan technology, the monitor scans your game’s mini-map to instantly detect enemies and shows its direction as an HUD, giving you the strategic edge you need for total gaming awareness.
  • HEALTH INDICATOR SPECTRUM BAR
    • Image recognition, spectrum bar
      • Designed to auto-detect the game while you’re immersed in gaming, the monitor projects health onto the Spectrum Bar in corresponding colors, seamlessly integrating your health status and allowing you to stay focused on the action without missing a beat.
  • AI UPGRADE POSSIBILITY
    • Trainable AI models, firmware update
      • The adventure of AI eliminates the constraints previously imposed across different games. When MSI offers well-trained AI modules, such as Health Indicator Spectrum Bar, users can leverage Gaming Intelligence to conduct local training for their preferred games. First, collect your own data depending on the games you play, including images and footages, to train your custom models. Consequently, coupled with MSI firmware update, these custom-trained AI models can be seamlessly integrated into your monitor, significantly enhancing usability across various scenarios and games.

Feature list:

  • 32-inch / QD-OLED / 3840×2160 (4K) / 240 Hz / 0.03 ms (GtG)
  • A.I. SkySight utilizes AI technology to automatically detect the enemy’s position and display it on the screen.
  • OLED Care 2.0 adds more detection ways to reduce OLED scree burn-in
  • Optimized thermal solution with Graphene film and custom heatsinks ensures efficient, silent heat dispersion
  • VESA Certified DisplayHDR True Black 400 & ClearMR 1300
  • Gaming Intelligence app by AI technology
  • SpectrumBar with Mystic Light and Glow Sync provides a soft ambient light
  • HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, Type C (DP Alt. with 90W PD), USB 2.0, Headphone-out (*Supports Display Stream Compression)

MSI has already listed a similar monitor called the MPG 321URX QD-OLED, which mentions “AI Vision” as one of its key features.

Why would they add AI cheats to a monitor? Seriously. WTF

Meh gotta be different somehow. I don't know that i care but I don't play ranked pvp games online.

Overwatch is the only game currently supported. Since the AI work is done on the monitor, the game engine allegedly can't detect it. The image at the top of the article has the expected spawn point of enemies marked.

I was thinking the monitor looked nice till I saw the cheat stuff and started to wonder how many servers/games would start banning this hardware.

MMO's for the most part no biggie, name badges are prominent and obvious.

Shooters and any kinda PVP I just dont see this as being acceptable - perhaps there is something about it I dont know.

If game devs cared one iota about cheating they would have banned the Cronus a long time ago.

Truth is, they don't. All the streamers using cheats to look amazing at the game equals sales.

They should concentrate on delivering a quality display without gimmicks.

I was wondering what else they could have done with the AI like built in monitor level dlss maybe? Or color enhancement, or working with the gpu somehow?

This monitor is listed for US$949, which is significantly cheaper than the Alienware with the same panel:
