Happy Gilmore, the classic 1996 sports comedy that saw Adam Sandler’s titular character competing in a golfing tournament to save his grandmother’s home from foreclosure—and getting beat up by game show host Bob Barker (RIP) in the process—is officially getting a sequel courtesy of one of the world’s most popular streaming services, Netflix has announced. The news arrives a few months after Sandler, 57, paid his respects to fellow actor Carl Weathers, who passed away in February but remains fondly remembered for his roles in Happy Gilmore, Predator, Rocky, and other iconic films.
