The GeForce RTX 4090, NVIDIA’s flagship desktop GPU for gamers, cannot hit 60 FPS in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II—the new action-adventure game developed by Ninja Theory that is out now exclusively for Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and Xbox Game Pass—at 4K max settings without the help of DLSS 3, its suite of game-enhancing technologies that include Super Resolution and Frame Generation, according to new benchmarks that NVIDIA shared today on the official GeForce site. Owners of the $1,599 GPU can expect frame rates of up to 148 FPS in Hellblade II at max settings with DLSS 3 on, but that number falls to 53.5 when the relevant options are disabled.
Max frame rates at 4K (DLSS off, DLSS 3):
- GeForce RTX 4090: 53.5 FPS, 148 FPS
- GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER: 39.7 FPS, 119.5 FPS
- GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER: 33.8 FPS, 103.8 FPS
- GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER: 28.2 FPS, 91.7 FPS
- GeForce RTX 4070: 24.2 FPS, 77.7 FPS

NVIDIA on what sort of performance GeForce RTX 40 Series users can expect in Hellblade II:
With DLSS 3 activated, Frame Generation multiplies performance by 3X on average at 4K, with every Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II setting maxed out. GeForce RTX 4070 gamers can comfortably play at over 60 FPS, and frame rates only get faster as you progress up the stack of ever-faster GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics cards, culminating in nearly 150 FPS on the GeForce RTX 4090.
At 2560×1440, a 2.3X average boost to performance ensures users of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and up can enjoy a maxed out experience…and at 1920×1080, an average 2.1X acceleration of frame rates enables every GeForce RTX 40 Series desktop GPU owner to play at over 60 FPS with maxed settings, and at up to 210 frames per second with the fastest hardware available.
