DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake “Draws Near” as Square Enix Confirms Platforms, including Steam and Nintendo Switch

DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake, a remake of the classic 1988 RPG from Chunsoft that will attempt to improve upon the original with a unique three-dimensional feel, delivered by 3D effects on pixel-based backgrounds, is coming to multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch and Windows PCs via Steam, Square Enix has revealed. Square Enix shared the news in a tweet that it sent out this morning, suggesting that the release of the game, which was originally announced in 2021, “draws near.”

Platforms include:

  • Steam
