Introduction

One of the more entertaining things on the show floor on the first day of Computex 2024 were the CEOs of NVIDIA (Jensen Huang), AMD (Dr. Lisa Su), and Intel (Pat Gelsinger). Jensen had a cult-like following – his presence could be easily identified as he was surrounded by a bubble of a hundred or more admirers with their cameras thrust in the air to grab a fleeting glimpse of them. I had to profusely apologize to SeaSonic for being late to our meeting thanks to the traffic blockade created by Jensen at the entryway.

That being said, after visiting a few booths, I decided it’d be a great idea to start keeping score to identify which company had accumulated the most signatures on items found within their booth. Of course, this was a pure scavenger hunt for me, so it’s entirely possible I missed some. Rules were simple: Booths and off-site venues would count, and I’d ask at least one person per booth to show me all the signatures. If I missed any, drop a comment in the forums with evidence and I’ll be glad to update the tally.

Signatures Found

Let’s tick through what I found in alphabetical order before a winner is declared:

ASRock

For ASRock, I was able to find two Jensen Huang signatures right next to each other – one found on an AI rack of serious server iron and the second on a placard right next to it. This was actually unexpected since ASRock is not in the NVIDIA GPU business, yet…

ASUS

On the ASUS front, I scoured their ROG booth with negative results but upon asking I was directed to this placard talking about the NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 that was adorned by a signature from Jensen Huang. Then when I rounded the corner I found a workstation with Dr. Lisa Su’s autograph.

GIGABYTE

We finally started to get some more traction with GIGABYTE. At their off-site showroom, we found an AORUS GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER with Jensen Huang’s signature, an AORUS Z790 XTREME X ICE motherboard with Pat Gelsigner’s signature, and a GIGABYTE TRX50 AI TOP motherboard with Dr. Lisa Su’s signature. Then, venturing out onto the show floor, we found a server with Dr. Lisa Su’s autograph on it.

MSI

The competition is heating up at MSI’s booth where we found four signatures from Jensen Huang. First on a 3D printed graphics card AND the protective plexiglass case for the graphics card (we’ll still count that as two). We found one on the AI demo robot in the center of the booth and finally a machine powering a ChatRTX demo. We also found a motherboard for a “Next Gen” Intel processor with Pat Gelsinger’s autograph on it. Thanks, Pat, for telling us more about the upcoming product!

Palit

Palit chalked up two signatures from Jensen Huang, one on a graphics card and the other on a nearby placard that declared them a GeForce Partner.

PNY

Alphabetically last but not of the least score, we found a good amount of business marked by Jensen Huang. We found three GPUs hidden like Easter eggs for little kids around the booth and snapped photos accordingly.

Conclusion and Winner

And now is the moment we’ve all been waiting for – the winner(s). We kept score a few ways, so let’s see how it all worked out:

  • Most Prolific Autographer: Jensen Huang – 13 autographs
  • Most Autographs Received: MSI – 5 autographs
  • Least Autographs Received: (tie) ASRock and ASUS – 2 autographs
