Until Dawn, a rebuilt and enhanced version of the 2015 interactive drama game from Supermassive Games that will introduce several improvements to the original horror experience, including updated graphics, gameplay, story elements, and more, will cost $59.99 when it launches on PS5 and PC on October 4, an insider has learned. The alleged pricing for the new game, which is higher than what the original version of Until Dawn launched at in 2015 exclusively for the PS4, hasn’t been received well by many players, including some who have called the decision “disgusting.”
Until Dawn pricing:
- 69.99 euros
- 59.99 US dollars
- 59.99 pounds sterling
- 109.95 Australian dollars
- 79.99 Canadian dollars
Players are saying:
- “Damn. That’s greedy as hell”
- “should not be a dollar more than 40 bucks, even by their standards this is disgusting”
- “Sony really needs a serious competitor now that Microsoft has essentially given up.”
- “Yeah no. F*ck that. Wait for a sale cause I’m not buying a remaster for $60 lol..”
- “I’ll wait until it inevitably hits $10 like the original game.”
A new graphics comparison trailer for the game:
From a report:
…these prices are likely to disappoint many players, whether they are rediscovering the game originally released in 2015 or playing it for the first time. For comparison, PlayStation’s latest remastered title , The Last of Us Part 2 on PS5, cost just €49.99 when it was released.
