The Analogue 3D, a reimagining of the N64 that is said to deliver 10x the resolution of Nintendo’s original 64-bit console, featuring 4K resolution and full compatibility with every original N64 game ever made, will be available to pre-order beginning on October 21 at 8 a.m., Analogue has announced. Technical specifications for the new system, which is engineered entirely in FPGA and doesn’t rely on emulation at any level, include 4K HDMI output, Analogue OS, wireless Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz support, as well as four controller ports that echo Nintendo’s original design. A look at the system’s color options and their respective controllers, as well as some classic N64 cartridges, can be found below.

Analogue3D represents a milestone in video game preservation: its not only the world’s first reimagining of an N64 – but the worlds first 100% compatible recreation of an N64. Analogue spent nearly 4 years engineering it in FPGA. No more incompatibilities found in software emulation like input lag, graphic/audio inaccuracies, timing/frame rate issues and more. For the first time, you can re-experience the N64 exactly as it was meant to be, without compromise.
