“Absolutely Gorgeous”: GTA Trilogy Receives Big Graphical Update on PC and Consoles, Including Classic Lighting Mode That Restores Original Look of the Games

Update 1.112, a new patch for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition that adds not only numerous fixes and improvements, but also a classic lighting mode that “restores the look and feel of the sky in the original games,” is now available to download, Rockstar Games has announced. Comparison screenshots for what players can expect, include some that have been described as “absolutely gorgeous,” can be found below. (The classic lighting mode has been available in the mobile versions of GTA: The Trilogy since their launch in December 2023.)

[The] mobile versions of the genre-defining classics Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas are all available to be purchased individually and feature additional improvements, including a new Classic Lighting mode that restores the look and feel of the sky in the original games.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is also available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam, and Epic Games store.
