Dark Souls III, a third mainline entry of the popular action RPG series that FromSoftware released for PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PCs in 2016, is currently in development, according to the latest rumors shared by XboxEra’s Nick Baker. Here’s the original word from Baker, who said that he wasn’t allowed to provide more information regarding the remaster but suggested that players should find the usual improvements, such as higher resolutions and frame rates. (The current versions of Dark Souls III max out at 60 FPS, even on PC, although there’s a mod to lift that restriction.)

As fires fade and the world falls into ruin, journey into a universe filled with more colossal enemies and environments. Players will be immersed into a world of epic atmosphere and darkness through faster gameplay and amplified combat intensity. Fans and newcomers alike will get lost in the game hallmark rewarding gameplay and immersive graphics. Now only embers remain… Prepare yourself once more and Embrace The Darkness!
