The Callisto Protocol, the 2022 survival horror game directed by Glen Schofield, the creator behind EA’s Dead Space, has received a new update for PS5 Pro that ushers in an 8K at 30 FPS or 4K at 60 FPS experience. Striking Distance Studios, the developer behind the game, shared the news on its official social media accounts for The Callisto Protocol yesterday, noting that both of these modes include what it says is “full ray tracing.” Josh Duhamel and Karen Fukuhara lead the game’s cast, which also includes Liquid Snake and Kaneda’s (Akira) Cam Clarke.

In this narrative-driven, third-person survival horror set 300 years in the future, the take on the role of Jacob Lee – a victim of fate thrown into Black Iron Prison, a maximum-security penitentiary located on Jupiter’s moon, Callisto.
When inmates begin to transform into monstrous creatures, the prison is thrown into chaos. To survive, Jacob must battle his way to safety to escape Black Iron Prison, while uncovering the dark and disturbing secrets buried beneath the surface of Callisto.
