A few weeks back, a rather unusual protest happened online. For those who didn’t catch it, there was a bit of an uprising within the Red Dead Online community. It seems players had their fill of the online game not receiving any substantial content added in a very long time – about seven months, to be exact. This led to players to use the game’s character customization to dress up as clowns in order to gain attention. Welcome to a lobby full of clowns.
Well, it seems their antics did not go unnoticed. Rockstar Games does indeed listen to their fans. Within days of this clowning around, news was posted on the Red Dead Online page. The Naturalist was coming soon.
For Red Dead Online, players can expect a massive new update to arrive Tuesday, July 28th featuring a new Frontier Pursuit that will introduce players to the secrets of naturalism as part of an all-new Role, plus a new Outlaw Pass, tons of community-requested features and fixes, and much more to play and discover in the months to come.
That will not be the only update added, either. On August 4th, even more content will get rolled out to the online community.
NEW LEGENDARY ANIMALS: THE TECA AND SUN GATORS
PLUS NEW WHEELER, RAWSON AND CO. CATALOGUE ADDITIONSDown by the Kamassa River bed lurks a unique and dangerous beast, reportedly sighted in the hours after dark and during rainy or stormy weather. The Legendary Teca Gator should only be approached by the most bravehearted of Naturalists or hunters.
Local fishermen have also recently reported a magnificent yet ill-tempered Legendary Sun Gator making its home in the murky, shallow waters of the Lannahechee River. Keep an eye out for this apex predator during foggy mornings to increase your chances of a successful sighting.
The addition of these hunting-styled quests resulted in the in-game store being expanded as well. Gus’s Trapper Store now features many new items from the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue. For more details, mosey on over to the Red Dead Online news page here.
