Things appear to be looking up for hardware enthusiasts in Germany who are still looking at acquiring an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics card, as the most recent retail price trends have revealed that Ampere GPUs seem to be steadily falling in price.
Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for AMD fans who still haven’t managed to get their hands on a Radeon RX 6000 Series GPU yet.
As indicated in an updated retail price trend chart shared by 3DCenter.org last week, pricing for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics cards has exhibited a welcome decrease of nearly 10 percent since July 4, but things are trending in the opposite direction for red team. Pricing for AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series GPUs has actually rose by 6 percent during that same time period.
3DCenter.org suggests that the reason for this might strictly have to do with availability—”AMD’s accelerators are for the most part not as readily available as those from nVidia.” That said, NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics cards are expected to come close to their MSRPs by the end of the year if these trends manage to hold.

[…] nVidia is currently “only” at + 50% price exaggeration – compared to the + 59% of AMD. Unfortunately, the overall average for both graphics chip developers is somewhat distorted by the most expensive accelerators (with the lower price exaggerations).
