Last night was a very interesting one for Spider-Man fans. An effects artist (who evidently didn’t care much for his job) or someone close to him, leaked an early version of the teaser trailer for Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios’ next Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Kevin Feige is reportedly pissed. And while Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have seemingly been somewhat successful in scrubbing the footage off of the internet over the past 24 hours, its secrets are already out there.

That would include the return of Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, who died in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man sequel, one of the greatest superhero films ever, from 2004. According to Marvel fans who lucked upon the leaked trailer, the character can be seen at the end of the trailer in his familiar trenchcoat.

Users have also begun to share other leaks that seem to confirm Spider-Man: No Way Home will definitely reintroduce some familiar villains. Willem Dafoe and Jamie Foxx, who played Green Goblin and Electro in Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, respectively, can be seen in one image that’s going around.

Another leak purportedly shows the final designs for the Green Goblin and Electro. The theory is that Marvel fans will be able to see the official, completed version of Spider-Man: No Way Home’s teaser trailer much sooner than expected.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled for release on December 17, 2021.

The Hollywood Reporter viewed the alleged leak, and its contents appeared to be legitimate. However, no specifics will be shared. The studio seemed to be in something of a whack-a-mole situation, as when one video would be blocked, another would be shared on Twitter.
