GIGABYTE X870E AORUS ELITE X3D

In this review we evaluated the GIGABYTE X870E AORUS ELITE X3D motherboard. Released in September 2025, it represents a refresh of the one year old AM5 X870E. The design and construction of this board are excellent, with a revamped BIOS. The performance is right on par with prior X870E motherboards. The release of this board touts new AI functions within the BIOS to boost performance of the CPU. This is called X3D Turbo Mode 2. Our testing did not reflect those claims to the same extent as the manufacturer. Still, this motherboard is a top notch design and has many new improvements which make it worthy of consideration.
