The MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI Motherboard is loaded with fast features to push the latest AMD Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 9000 series CPUs on the AM5 platform. It has PCIe 5.0 x16 graphics, and 2x M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe SSD performance, with well positioned M.2 slots. It has easy to use DIY features, which makes installation of SSDs toolless and building a PC easy. Only downside is one of the M.2 slots being reduced to PCIe 4.0 x2 performance, and there is a degradation of performance when WIFI 7/Bluetooth is enabled for two M.2 slots. Otherwise, the feature set is very good. The strength of this motherboard is in its expansion card options. It supports and ran 8000MT/s RAM, and has enthusiast overclocking features for CPU PBO and memory. The VRMs are very robust, and stayed cool on a high-end CPU, running the latest and greatest won't be a problem with this motherboard. Performance of CPU and RAM were great, and the price value is right for what is provided with this motherboard, it's an appealing option as an upgrade to the AM5 platform.
