Ryzen fans seeking the very best Zen 2 has to offer may want to hold off on those 3900X preorders, as AMD has teased an even more powerful variant at Computex with 16 cores. The overclocked CPU scored 4346 points in Cinebench R15, which is double that of the Ryzen 7 2700X and 2.5x more than Ryzen 7 1800X.

There is still no indication of its single-core performance, however. Screenshots from Tech YES City show it running at 4.1 to 4.25 GHz, at a voltage between 1.428 and 1.572 V. Release date is unknown.

It is unclear when AMD is planning to release this SKU, if they are planning this at all. The chip is likely to be postponed till more efficient higher binned chips are available in higher volume. The leak aligns with a rumor posted by TUM_APISAK more than two weeks ago.
