Numbers for AMD’s Ryzen 7 3800X have popped up on Geekbench. The 8-core, 16-thread processor earned a single-core score of 5406 and multi-core score of 34059.

Guru3D says Intel’s Core i9-9900K only performs about 1% better under the same memory configuration (which “was not configured right, at only 2133 MHz”) in terms of single-threaded performance. But it performs close to 5% worse than the Ryzen 7 3800X for multiple threads.

Digging a little further shows a 9900K with DDR4-2666 memory performing more than 14% better on a single thread and half a percent better in the multi-core test.
