Microsoft is turning back the clock to 1985. The company has updated its social media channels with a teaser for the very first version of Windows, but nobody seems to know why. The video flips through the operating system’s logos throughout the years and ultimately ends with the one that started it all.

Some are saying this is a tie-in for the newest season of Stranger Things, which debuts on July 4. “Stay tuned” and “Wait for updates!” says Microsoft.

Microsoft is up to something. Yesterday the Windows team dropped a sizzler video on Twitter, announcing the “all-new” Windows 1.0. It posted the same video over on its Instagram account, but only after it had wiped every single other post from its page. The video winds backwards through the catalog of Windows logos, before eventually settling on the Windows 1.0 design, which is now being used across all of its social channels.
