Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter World Iceborne will be arriving on January 9th, 2020 for the PC via Steam. From the trailer it looks like they’ve made sure to customize it for PC as well.

Some option highlights from the trailer:

  • Ultra-wide screen support
  • 4k & Uncapped frame rates
  • DX12 Support
  • Hi-Resolution Textures
  • Improved Mouse and Keyboard support

Capcom has enjoyed a pretty successful year with both it’s Monster Hunter World and Resident Evil franchises. They also haven’t been afraid to experiment with adding characters from other franchises either. With characters such as The Witcher, or Streetfighter, and now it was recently announced that Resident Evil will crossover after Iceborne. Seems they want to keep that momentum with these releases in 2020.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
