Seems like barely a day goes by recently without some mention of some kind of a streaming service. Google launched their Stadia platform, Steam has made announcements, Intel revealed a cloud-gaming controller, and Microsoft is also developing their service called Project xCloud.

With all of these options game exclusives would seem to follow suit. Well not so fast for the Project xCloud. Despite xCloud CVP Kareem Choudhry stating they had begun talks for making platform exclusives Gamasutra is now reporting a follow up statement from another member of the team. The spokesperson for Xbox, has stated they are actually developing a “multi-year journey”. As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s.
