Superhero fans who jumped on WarnerMedia’s new streaming service must not be too happy right now. HBO Max, which only launched on May 27, is already losing (via Deadline) eleven DC films, which include the likes of Batman, Justice League, and Wonder Woman. Here’s the full list of titles that are leaving the service on July 1.
- Batman
- Batman & Robin
- Batman Forever
- Batman Returns
- Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
- Catwoman
- Jonah Hex
- Justice League
- Suicide Squad
- The Losers
- Wonder Woman
The good news is that these films will return at a later date. Apparently, HBO Max is taking a rotational approach, with various titles coming and going.
“We have a collection of DC films that will rotate on the platform,” a representative told Observer. “We have a new batch coming in July and then another batch coming in August. And I have just confirmed that the batch that is on right now will be returning.”
The DC films that originally launched with HBO Max but will remain on the service are Aquaman, Green Lantern, Joker, Shazam!, and Supergirl.
