Are you thinking of getting an OLED TV for gaming? Samsung’s marketing department wants you to check out its latest infographic first, which extols the benefits of its competing display technology, QLED. While these sets cannot match LG’s OLED products in terms of picture quality, they appear to compete pretty well on the gaming front, with features such as 9.8 ms of input lag and AMD FreeSync Premium support for a tear-free experience.
“Over the last few years, the global console gaming market has rapidly expanded,” wrote Samsung. “As consoles make their way into more households, they’re changing people’s perceptions of their TVs. Now, consumers are beginning to view their TVs as gaming devices, and they’re witnessing firsthand how factors like high image and audio quality and low input lag can combine to take their gaming experience to the next level.”
