MTV’s iconic animated duo is returning for more ill-mannered shenanigans on a different network. In a press release published today, Comedy Central announced that it had signed a deal with Emmy Award-winning creator Mike Judge to write, produce, and provide voice over for two new seasons of Beavis and Butt-Head, which will feature “meta-themes relatable to both new and old fans – Gen X parents and their Gen Z kids.”

“We are thrilled to be working with Mike Judge and the great team at 3 Arts again as we double down on Adult Animation at Comedy Central,” said Chris McCarthy, President of Entertainment & Youth Group. “Beavis and Butt-Head were a defining voice of a generation, and we can’t wait to watch as they navigate the treacherous waters of a world light-years from their own.”

“It seemed like the time was right to get stupid again,” said Judge.

There’s no indication of when these new episodes will premiere, but, uh, huh-huh, huh-huh, let’s hope they don’t suck. This will be the second time that Beavis and Butt-Head has been revived since its last air date in 1997.
