Windows Central has confirmed the prices and launch date for Microsoft’s next-gen consoles. The Xbox Series X will cost $499, while its weaker sibling, the Xbox Series S, will cost $299. Both consoles will be available for purchase on November 10, 2020.

“We can confirm via our sources that the entry-level Xbox Series S will cost $299 at retail, with a $25 per month Xbox All Access financing option, which Microsoft is planning to push hard via various retailers and a large global rollout,” Windows Central reported. “The more powerful Xbox Series X will cost $499, with a $35 per month Xbox All Access financing option.”

Thurrott’s Brad Sams has also leaked the design of the Xbox Series S. As you might expect, it’s white colored and much slimmer than the Series X. It also has a black, circular grille, which makes it look like a speaker or electric stove top.

The Xbox Series X’s $499 price puts it right in line with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, which will be released for the same price sometime next month. Microsoft’s next-gen console offers 12 teraflops of power, while green team’s GPU offers 20 teraflops of power.

Update: Thanks to Sams’s leak, Microsoft has gone ahead and confirmed the Xbox Series S with a nice, high-res shot of the console and controller. We should be getting its specifications very soon.
