Has NetherRealm Studios drawn first blood? According to dataminers who dug into the popular fighter’s latest update, John Rambo could be joining the roster of Mortal Kombat 11 in a future Kombat Pack or Game of the Year/Komplete Edition.

We’re doubtful about Sylvester Stallone providing his voice (he seems like an expensive guy), but if NetherRealm’s previous work is anything to go by, fans should expect an authentic recreation of the military veteran if he does materialize. We’re also guessing that Rambo’s fatalities would involve M60 machine guns and exploding arrows.

The iconic character was last seen in 2019’s Rambo: Last Blood. It serves as the final chapter of John Rambo’s lengthy saga, which began with First Blood (1982). That critically acclaimed film was followed by three other action-packed sequels: Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), Rambo III (1988), and Rambo (2008).

Dataminers also discovered that Rambo could be joined by two Mortal Kombat veterans, Rain and Mileena. The latter is a fan favorite who has been heavily requested since Mortal Kombat 11’s release.
