You can probably place your bets on AMD launching its Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile Processors very soon, as the specifications for ten models have been discovered in early ASUS and Lenovo laptop listings shared by momomo_us (via VideoCardz). They include four Zen 3-based CPUs in the Ryzen 5000H Series, as well as six low-powered SKUs in the Ryzen 5000U Series.

While the Ryzen 5000H Series represents the obvious go-to for laptop users who desire greater performance, the Ryzen 5000U lineup is also interesting to look at because it comprises a mix of Zen architectures. The Ryzen 7 5800U, for instance, leverages AMD’s modern Zen 3 technology, while the Ryzen 7 5700U is powered by last generation’s Zen 2 (rebrands, most likely).

Critics believe that the Zen mixture could lead to some unnecessary confusion among consumers, but what we can probably say for certain is that the Ryzen 5000U Series will demonstrate some excellent power efficiency. These chips feature a TDP of only 15 watts and configurable TDP of 10 to 25 watts.

VideoCardz has compiled all of the leaked information into two charts, which we’ve copied below. AMD is expected to reveal its Ryzen Mobile 5000 Series processors during President and CEO Dr. Lisa Su’s CES 2021 keynote, which is slated for Tuesday, January 12.
