Getting trapped on a desert island like Tom Hanks in Cast Away isn’t our idea of fun, but Australia’s Beam Team Games is letting gamers live out that nightmare with its new survival title, Stranded Deep, which is currently free on the Epic Games Store.

After a mysterious plane crash, players are stranded on a small island and have to figure out how to survive by gathering supplies, hunting for food, and building shelter. Exploration isn’t only limited to land, as an entire underworld world is available to survey as well.

“Take the role of a plane crash survivor stranded somewhere in the Pacific Ocean,” a description reads. “Come face to face with some of the most life threatening scenarios that will result in a different experience each time you play. Scavenge. Discover. Survive.”

Note that this is an Early Access Game, which means that Stranded Deep is still in development and players might experience some unforeseen issues such as glitches or bugs. It isn’t clear when the final version might be released.
