More movies are getting their release dates shuffled as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. The latest are Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Morbius, and Uncharted from Sony Pictures. This marks the second time that Sony has delayed these titles.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife
Originally announced back in 2019, Ghostbusters: Afterlife was supposed to have been released in July 2020. Initially it was pushed back to March 2021, and now it appears that fans will need to wait until November 11, 2021 to see Jason Reitman’s take on the franchise.
Morbius
Following Venom, Jared Leto’s project for the living vampire is the next film to expand the Spider-Verse. Rumors indicate that it will play a part in an upcoming Sinister Six project. Morbius was originally supposed to release in July 2020 until it was delayed to March 2021. It is now looking to arrive in theaters on January 21, 2022.
Uncharted
Tom Holland’s version of Nathan Drake is getting the biggest delay. It was planned for release sometime in July 2021 but has now been pushed back to February 11, 2022. By then, fans may actually have enough time to make another fan film. This live-action film has been in development since 2008.
