As hinted by Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot during a financial call earlier this week, Massive Entertainment’s popular online shooter RPG, The Division 2, will be getting additional content later this year. The news was confirmed by Massive in a message posted on the The Division 2’s official site, which noted that the developer had decided to continue producing more content for the game due to the passion and support of its fans.

“Some of you had noticed that Title Update 12 was originally meant to be the last major Title Update for The Division 2, but thanks to your continued support, we are now in the early stages of development for fresh content to release later in 2021,” Ubisoft wrote.

“While it is still too early to go into more details today, you won’t have to wait too long, as we will share more as soon as we can. In the meantime, we again want to send a heartfelt thank you for your continued support throughout the Division 2 post-launch period. We cannot stress enough how much this means to us.”

Released on December 10, The Division 2’s Title Update 12 kicked off a brand-new season called End of Watch, which revolves around a major NPC character from the original game—former Strategic Homeland Division agent Faye Lau. Along with fresh objectives and manhunt targets, Title Update 12 offers new challenges in the game’s PVE mode, The Summit, as well as new gear to earn through the Global Event Shop.
