Blizzard Reveals System Requirements and Mod Support for Diablo II: Resurrected

Blizzard has published the minimum requirements and recommended specifications for its highly anticipated remaster of Diablo II, Diablo II: Resurrected. An Intel Core i5-9600k/AMD Ryzen 5 2600 processor, NVIDIA GTX 1060/AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT graphics card, and 16 GB of memory is recommended for Diablo fans who wish to relive the epic, hellish adventure in its intended glory at 1080p, but an Intel Core i3-3250/AMD FX-4350, NVIDIA GTX 660/AMD Radeon HD 7850, and 8 GB of memory should be adequate to run the game in 720p. Diablo II: Resurrected also requires 30 GB of storage space.

Diablo II: Resurrected breathes new life into Blizzard Entertainment’s acclaimed ARPG and its expansion, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, from beginning to end,” a description on the Blizzard Shop reads. “Return to fight for Sanctuary and discover the fate of the mysterious Dark Wanderer rebuilt in all-new 3D graphics, brand-new cinematics, remastered audio… and the same classic Diablo II gameplay you remember.”

Blizzard has also confirmed that Diablo II: Resurrected will include some level of mod support. The developer revealed the news in a series of tweets on the official Diablo Twitter account, which were written in the vein of the franchise’s popular, recurring scholar, Deckard Cain.

“Why you would want to manipulate this Hell?” the tweet reads. “Are you some sort of demon yourself? Woe! Yes, mod support will be here in Diablo II. I beg of you to go easy on a poor old man.”

According to Blizzard’s product requirements page, Diablo II: Resurrected will be released “on or before December 2021” for the PC platform via Battle.net. The remaster is also coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch consoles.
