Team NINJA released a patch that added DLSS support to Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition last week, and now, NVIDIA has shared an article revealing just what kind of performance improvements GeForce RTX users can expect with the upscaling technology enabled in the popular action role-playing game. Green team’s benchmarks suggest that DLSS’ Performance Mode can improve Nioh 2’s frame rates by nearly 60 percent, as well as allow all GeForce RTX graphics cards to run the game at over 60 FPS in 4K. DLSS also provides an opportunity for GeForce RTX 3090 owners to experience Team NINJA’s title at frame rates as high as 120 FPS in 2160p.

“In the most performance-intensive moments of the game, NVIDIA DLSS can accelerate frame rates by up to 58 percent, enabling all GeForce RTX gamers to enjoy Nioh 2 at over 60 FPS at all times,” NVIDIA explained. “And during less intensive moments, NVIDIA DLSS will enable you to play at 120 FPS, Nioh 2’s max frame rate, for the smoothest, most responsive, most enjoyable experience possible.”

NVIDIA also shared a comparison video and metrics for TaleWorlds Entertainment’s early access game, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, which received DLSS support this month. GeForce RTX graphics card owners can enjoy accelerated performance by up to 50 percent at 4K in the medieval action RPG with DLSS enabled in Performance Mode. DLSS also ensures a 60+ FPS experience across all GeForce RTX GPUs

“To bring DLSS to more games and gamers, we have recently released NVIDIA DLSS as a free plugin via the Unreal Engine marketplace,” the company added. “Once enabled, your players can enjoy great scaling across all GeForce RTX GPUs and resolutions, including the new ultra performance mode for 8K gaming.”
