AMD Launching Radeon RX 6700 XT Graphics Cards on March 18 for $479

AMD has announced its latest Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics card, the Radeon RX 6700 XT. Red team confirmed the existence of the new model during its Where Gaming Begins event today, which revealed that the reference version and custom variants of the GPU would be available from AMD.com and etailers/retailers (respectively) on March 18. AMD has set the SEP/MSRP of the Radeon RX 6700 XT at $479.

The reference edition of the Radeon RX 6700 XT boasts 40 Compute Units, 2,560 Stream Processors, 40 Ray Accelerators, 12 GB of GDDR6 memory, a Boost Frequency of up to 2,581 MHz, and a TBP of 230 watts. Its also features custom-designed dual axial fans that offer 50 percent lower perceived noise than previous blower designs, as well as an optimized die cast aluminum frame, 10-layer PCB with two layers of 2 oz. copper, and standard 8+6 pin power connectors.

According to AMD’s first-party benchmarks, the Radeon RX 6700 XT can deliver frame rates of up to 118 FPS at 1440p in some of the latest blockbusters, such as IO Interactive’s Hitman 3. The benchmarks also suggest that the latest member of the RDNA 2 family can outperform NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 in select titles, which include Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
