Panzer Dragoon: Remake publisher Forever Entertainment revealed in 2019 that its developer, MegaPixel Studio, was working on remakes of two of Sega’s classic light gun games, The House of the Dead and The House of the Dead 2. The trailer for the former finally dropped today during Nintendo’s Indie World Event, confirming that the game will be released for Nintendo Switch and look quite a bit better than the 1996 original. While it isn’t clear whether The House of the Dead: Remake will make it out for Halloween this year (Nintendo’s site only promises that it’ll be available in 2021), the game appears to have kept the original’s oft-ridiculed but still charming voice acting.

THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD: Remake is a remade version of the game introduced in 1997 in arcade platform. A classic arcade rail-shooter receives a whole new entourage and gameplay changes to suit modern gaming standards.

FEATURES:

Hordes of the undead monstrosities in a fast-paced rail-shooter.
True to the original gameplay.
Well-known arcade classic with modern graphics and controls.
Multiple endings.
1-2 players
