Microsoft has announced a new batch of Xbox games that can benefit from the company’s new FPS Boost technology, which allows select titles to run at significantly higher frame rates on the company’s more powerful next-gen consoles. These include EA’s modern Battlefield games (i.e., Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1, Battlefield V), as well as multiple Titanfall, Star Wars Battlefront, and Plants vs. Zombies titles. Many of these games can now run at 120 FPS on both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

In some instances, because there are higher graphics requirements to enable FPS Boost technology, we’ve had to reduce a game’s resolution to ensure it both runs smoothly and plays great. In those select cases, FPS Boost is not automatically enabled for Xbox Series X gamers, but can easily be turned on under the Compatibility Options in the Manage game and add-ons setting.
