WB Games and Turtle Rock Studios’ upcoming cooperative first-person shooter and spiritual Left 4 Dead sequel, Back 4 Blood, will require an online connection to play at all times. Turtle Rock Studios confirmed Back 4 Blood’s always-online state in a tweet delivered to a fan earlier this week, noting that the game would require an internet connection to play at launch. The developer is making an attempt to implement an offline mode for players who aren’t happy with the always-online requirement, however. In more positive news, Back 4 Blood’s DLC will be shared among team members, which means that only a single player needs to own it.

IN PVE, IF YOUR PARTY LEADER OWNS A PAID CONTENT DROP, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PLAY THAT CONTENT WITH THEM — INCLUDING MAPS, GAMEPLAY AND CAMPAIGN. No separation. No exclusion. No split.
