Crystal Dynamics’ critically acclaimed sequel to Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, is reportedly getting a revival in the form of a remake or remaster. The rumor was shared during a recent XboxEra podcast by insider Shpeshal Nick, who was told by a source that the game would be announced later this year. It’s been nearly two decades since the last Legacy of Kain title, Legacy of Kain: Defiance, was released in 2003 for PS2, Xbox, and Windows. Legacy of Kain: Defiance was the first Legacy of Kain title to allow fans to play as both Vampire lord Kain and his lieutenant-turned-wraith, Raziel, the latter of whom was introduced in 1999’s Soul Reaver.
(Rumor) Shpeshal Nick from XboxEra podcast say that there is a Legacy of Kane: Soul Reaver Remaster is in the works. He's not 100% sure if it's a remake or remaster. It should be announced this year. 👀🧂

Legacy of Kain fans have been teased about a new entry or remake of a game for years now. The last known rumor regarding The Legacy of Kain series was a remake for Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain last year, helmed by Bluepoint Games. However, no such announcement has came to pass, as the leak claimed it would appear at Sony’s PlayStation event in summer 2020.
