Remedy Entertainment has announced that it is developing a multiplayer spin-off of its critically acclaimed paranormal action-adventure shooter, Control. Codenamed “Condor,” Control franchise game director Mikael Kasurinen explained that Remedy’s upcoming spin-off will expand on the strange and frightening world that was initially introduced in the original 2019 title. Little has been shared besides a single piece of concept art teasing its setting and characters, but Condor’s gameplay should be pretty interesting if players are given access to the same powers that protagonist Jesse Faden wielded in Control (e.g., launch, shield, levitate). Kasurinen also hinted that Remedy is working on a legitimate sequel to Control that will dwarf the original thanks to a bigger budget. Additionally, Control fans will be able to purchase new merchandise in time for the second anniversary of the game.

[…] Control is more than one location, character, or story. We have more. Something ambitious. As today’s announcement stated, “have outlined high-level collaboration terms to further expand the Control franchise with a bigger-budget Control-game.” I unfortunately cannot go into more detail than that, but suffice to say, I’m extremely excited for the future of the Control franchise.
