One of Walt Disney World’s upcoming attractions is the Galactic Star Cruiser, an immersive luxury hotel that aims to be the ultimate vacation experience for Star Wars fans in Florida with highlights that range from themed lounges and dining to lightsaber training.

Unfortunately, the experience doesn’t seem to be as affordable as some might have hoped.

As noted on a planning page, a “voyage” at the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel will start at $4,809 for two guests per cabin, while the three-guest and four-guest packages will cost $5,299 and $5,999, respectively. This means that the average family can expect to pay over $5,000 for what appears to be a relatively short, two-day experience.

That said, Disney’s concept art seems to support the idea of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser being a first-of-its-kind adventure. According to a sample itinerary, guests should be fully immersed throughout each day of their stay with events that include Sabacc lessons and droid racing competitions.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is like nothing else youโ€™ve ever experienced: part live immersive theater, part themed environment, part culinary extravaganza, part real-life role-playing gameโ€”and yet so much more.

As the airlock slides open, your whole world changes.

Step off the launch pod and into your own epic Star Wars story, one where you decide your fate. While your story unfolds, youโ€™ll have the power to choose your path. Will you follow the rule of the First Order or join the Resistance in a secret plot? Strike a bargain with a gang of smugglers or sit back, sip a cocktail and watch it all from a safe distance?

  1. Good lord that is ridiculously high. Im sure theres a market, but I will never be it thats for sure.

  2. Not that we can really afford to travel to any Disney park but that’ll be a hard pass unless we win the lottery. Cool idea and I envy those than can enjoy it though.

  3. I don’t know that is high. If we don’t eat for a three month period and return a car…

But seriously thsts like “do I redo the bathroom or have a star wars adventure” kind of money.

After a year+ of Covid, I’m willing to bet more people err on the star wars adventure than remolded bathroom, and Disney knows that.

Give it 3 years and it will be half price.

  5. Does it include a night with Ming-Na Wen, Felicity Jones, Emilia Clarke and Daisy Ridley? ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰

Nope only R2D2 and C3PO at a premium.

  7. So thinking about this…. if you get full costumes, interactive experience where you and your family are the ‘heroes’ of the story experience, and it is done well…

Honestly I wouldn’t bring a little kid to this but if your kids were slightly nerdy teenagers it would be a worthwhile expenditure just to make new memories.

If we are talking about Sith HJ’s and sexdroids I’d rather hear about Disney Land Thailand.
