Black Myth: Wukong garnered immediate fame last year when developer Game Science shared its first trailers for the Unreal Engine 4-powered action RPG and blew people away with its level of graphical fidelity that seemed uncommon for an indie studio.

The Chinese indie developer has now returned with a new Black Myth: Wukong trailer that demonstrates what the game, now updated to Unreal Engine 5, looks like when running in real-time with the help of NVIDIA’s deep learning super sampling technology, DLSS. Not surprisingly, the results are stunning.

Black Myth: Wukong is centered around the 16th-century Chinese novel, Journey to the West. One of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature, the literary work stars four main characters that include the popular Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King. Wukong uses a staff called the Ruyi Jingu Bang that weighs over 17,000 pounds and can be shrunken or expanded to various sizes.

Black Myth: Wukong doesn’t have a release date yet, but Game Science is trying to get the game out by 2023. It will be available for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.

Developed by Game Science, Black Myth: Wukong is an action-adventure game themed around the legendary Chinese novel, Journey to the West. It’s a story full of intriguing characters and thought-provoking dialogue, and in combination with high-quality graphics, will bring the Eastern fantasy world to life for all gamers.
