James Cameron fans have always wondered what it’d be like to fire a few rounds from the iconic M41A pulse rifle that the director introduced in his critically acclaimed Alien sequel. While a real-life version of that doesn’t appear to be happening anytime soon, Hasbro appears to have the next best thing.

As a way of celebrating the 35th anniversary of Aliens, Hasbro has opened up pre-orders for a limited-edition Nerf M41-A Blaster that appears to be an admirable replica of the revered weapon despite being a plastic toy. Featuring a design inspired by the film’s Power Loaders, the blaster boasts dual-blasting action, an electronic dart counter, and movie-accurate blasting sounds.

Hasbro’s Nerf M41-A Blaster also measures two-feet (28 inches) long and comes in premium packaging for collectors who want to showcase it among their film collections and other memorabilia. Aliens fans can pre-order it at Hasbro Pulse for $94.99 right now, but the item isn’t scheduled for release until October 2022.

Aliens 3 is still considered one of the greater tragedies of the sci-fi genre in that it killed off two of Aliens’ great survivors, Michael Biehn’s Corporal Dwayne Hicks and Rebecca “Newt” Jorden. District 9 director Neill Blomkamp wanted to address this with a fifth Alien film that would ignore the events of David Fincher’s Aliens 3, but the project ended up falling apart.

Just like in the film, this M41-A Pulse Blaster comes with over and under barrels for dual blasting. Unleash a barrage of Elite darts with the fully-motorized, fly-wheel mechanism on top. If the job requires more power, utilize the pump-action Mega barrel on the bottom.
