Quantic Dream’s next project following Detroit: Become Human could be a game set in the Star Wars universe.

The possibility was raised by DualShockers writer and industry insider Tom Henderson this morning, who tweeted an image of crossed lightsabers on top of one of Detroit: Become Human’s android characters. Henderson didn’t share anything beyond that, but he has liked many of the tweets from followers who were curious as to whether the image meant that Quantic Dream was working on a Star Wars game.

A job listing spotted on Hitmarker earlier this year revealed that Quantic Dream is working on a new action-adventure game, although there’s nothing in the text that would help corroborate Henderson’s claim that it has something to do with Star Wars.

As a Senior Writer, you will share responsibility for developing the over-arching narrative of a Triple-AAA experience, from devising themes and character arcs to fleshing out specific scenes and dialogues. Interactivity is critical to our design philosophy, but candidates from non-interactive industries who are excited to learn the craft are invited to apply.

That said, anyone who has played a Quantic Dream game should have a very clear idea of what a Star Wars title directed and written by the developer’s founder and leader, David Cage, would play like. While the majority of the studio’s titles arguably offer little in the gameplay department (e.g., following simple on-screen prompts to initiate actions), all of them excel at delivering a highly cinematic and story-driven experience.
