Playground Games has revealed the PC system requirements for the fifth installment of its highly regarded open-world racing series, Forza Horizon 5.

An AMD Ryzen 7 3800 XT or Intel Core i7-10700K processor and AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card are recommended for Forza Horizon fans who want to speed through the latest entry’s Mexico-inspired landscapes at their visual best, while an AMD Ryzen 5 1500X or Intel Core i5-8400 processor and AMD Radeon RX 590 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 will suffice for the recommended, mid-tier experience. Otherwise, prospective Forza Horizon 5 players who are stuck on weaker systems should be able to run the game with an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or Intel Core i5-4460 and AMD Radeon RX 470 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970.

The recommended and ideal specifications call for 16 GB of system memory, while the minimum experience calls for 8 GB of RAM. Forza Horizon 5 will require version 1909 of Windows 10 (November 2019 update) and 110 GB of free storage space.

From Playground Games:

By introducing all-new, powerful graphical features, Forza Horizon 5 on PC renders every detail throughout the world with stunning realism, down to the tiniest features like the light that glows through each needle on a Cholla cactus. With extreme draw distances and robust levels of detail, experience sweeping panoramas from the summit of the Gran Caldera volcano – the highest point ever in a Forza Horizon game – and scan the distance ahead to prepare for your next expedition.

Here are our PC specs and, as you can see, we’ve broken down the requirements based on different gameplay scenarios across both Nvidia and AMD setups. To deliver the best possible experience to all of our PC players, we have updated our minimum specifications from the previous estimate given on the Microsoft Store and Steam.

Playground Games also confirmed that Forza Horizon 5 will support 21:9 ultrawide displays for a more expansive view and further immersion. Additionally, it will launch with support for a variety of popular steering wheels from Logitech, Thrustmaster, and Fanatec.

  • Logitech: Driving Force, G25, G27, G29, G920, G923PS, G923XB, Momo
  • Thrustmaster: Ferrari 458, T150 RS, T300 RS, T500 RS, TMX, T-GT, TS-XW, TX, TS-PC
  • Fanatec: V1, V2, V2.5, CSL, CSL DD, DD1, DD2, Universal HUB device

Forza Horizon 5 is launching exclusively for the PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles on November 9. The racer will also be available to enjoy on day one for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as well as Microsoft’s cloud gaming service, Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta).
