Pixar has shared a teaser trailer for Lightyear, an origin film that will explore the life of the eponymous space ranger who inspired one of Toy Story’s most popular characters. Unlike his toy counterpart, Buzz will be voiced by Chris Evans, who’s best known for playing Captain America in Marvel’s superhero films. It isn’t clear whether Tim Allen, who brought Lightyear to life in all of the previous Toy Story films, will have a part.

The sci-fi action-adventure presents the definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear—the hero who inspired the toy—introducing the legendary Space Ranger who would win generations of fans.
Lightyear is being helmed by Angus MacLane, the Annie Award-winning director and veteran Pixar animator. His filmography includes The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Finding Nemo, and Monsters, Inc.
