The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 is going to feature the same amount of memory as the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, GeForce RTX 3070, and GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. This is according to a recent tweet from leaker kopite7kimi, who claims that the card will come with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory. Kopite7kimi also echoed reports from last week about how the GeForce RTX 3050 would actually leverage the GA106-150 GPU, which was previously rumored for the Ti version of the card.

Sources say that the GeForce RTX 3050 will feature higher performance than the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER but fall short of the GeForce RTX 2060 (12 GB), a new version of the Turing card with increased memory that NVIDIA quietly confirmed via the release notes of yesterday’s GeForce Game Ready driver. The GeForce RTX 3050 is expected to launch in Q2 2022.
