FromSoftware is known to most gamers as the brilliant studio that introduced the Soulslike genre to the world with its 2009 classic, Demon’s Souls, but the developer actually began making a name for itself in the ’90s with similarly excellent franchises such as King’s Field and Armored Core.

While it’s been nearly a decade since FromSoftware released an Armored Core game, a ResetEra user by the name of Red Liquorice has shared a consumer survey that they received that seemingly confirms the studio will be announcing a new title in its classic mech combat series. The survey includes a synopsis of the game, which confirms the location of the next Armored Core and how it’ll expectedly be a third-person shooter centered around “dynamic mech action.”

“I’ve just finished doing a consumer survey about a new Armoured Core game with description, screenshots and two 30 second-ish videos of gameplay – the first a boss fight and the second more in-world gameplay, a snow area,” the user shared before posting a screencap of the survey. “The screenshots are unique ID watermarked, so probably not a good idea to post but I did screenshot the text description.”

“If this isn’t ok to post, mods please edit this – I don’t want to get anyone (including myself) in to trouble, but I was pretty amazed to be watching footage of an upcoming From Soft game randomly this morning, quite unexpected!!”

The last Armored Core title that FromSoftware developed is Armored Core: Verdict Day. Released on September 2013 and serving as the 15th installment of the long-running franchise, Armored Core: Verdict Day featured an online multiplayer mode and is exclusively available to play on PS3 and Xbox 360.
