A YouTuber has shared a video demonstrating the character creator that FromSoftware has implemented for its upcoming and heavily hyped fantasy RPG, Elden Ring.

As indicated by the video, Elder Ring players will begin their journey with what appears to be a much improved character creation process that allows all sorts of faces to be generated, ranging from the typical warrior types to freaks of nature with over-sized eyes and cheekbones. Creating custom characters has been a staple of FromSoftware titles, a process that’s been featured in all the Dark Souls games, including popular spin-offs such as Bloodborne.

“Finally you can easily create a good looking character now,” mentioned the uploader, calling Elden Ring’s character creator a big upgrade from the ones featured in older FromSoftware titles.

“Transported to ages long ago, you will relive the Shattering, a war that brought darkness to the Lands Between, initiated by demigods’ hunger for power,” reads a synopsis for Elden Ring’s story, which was crafted by A Song of Ice and Fire novelist George R. R. Martin.

“You’ll fight alongside General Radahn and Malenia the Severed, but even these two undefeatable warriors couldn’t reunite a world so badly broken. There is only one hope left: the hope that a new Elden Lord will rise and lift the veil of shadows that has fallen over Marika’s domain.”

Elden Ring will launch on February 25, 2022, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
