Shadow Warrior 3 developer Flying Wild Hog shared a video in October revealing that the third installment of its comedic ninja FPS franchise had been delayed to 2022.

While Flying Wild Hog nor publisher Devolver Digital have shared an exact release date yet, an updated listing for Shadow Warrior 3 on Microsoft’s official Xbox store has seemingly confirmed that the game will release on March 1, 2022. The listing details the pre-order bundle, which includes both of the previous Shadow Warrior games and a limited edition Katana Skin DLC.

“Fallen corporate shogun Lo Wang and his former employer turned nemesis turned sidekick Orochi Zilla embark on an improbable mission to recapture an ancient dragon they unwillingly unleashed from its eternal prison,” reads the synopsis for Shadow Warrior 3.

“Armed with a punishing mix of blades and bullets, Lo Wang must traverse uncharted parts of the world to track down the dark beast and push the apocalypse back yet again. All it will take is the mask of a dead god, a dragon’s egg, a touch of magic, and enough firepower to hold off the impending cataclysm.”

Shadow Warrior 3 will also be available to play via the PC and PlayStation platforms when it releases in March. Steam users can wishlist the game here.
